Yum - just yum!! One of our family has celiacs disease so we decided to try this place. Glad we did, it's sooooo good! I had the freshest shrimp tacos and Mahi mahi tacos. So delicious. Definitely going to become a regular restaurant for us. Good prices too, and definitely try the orange juice.

Taco Dia- thank you for joining the Newtown restaurant scene! We are so happy you are here in town and gracing us with your amazing food and better drinks! This town needed some fresh Mexican and you have certainly delivered on all fronts from service, decor, drinks and food- home run, slam dunk, or touchdown.... You are all of these in one! We have loved both times we have come to eat for dinner. Drinks are strong, fresh ingredients and go down way too easy. Love the strawberry margarita specialty cocktail. I don't typically order tacos when out but all of yours rocked! Fresh, the right amount of each ingredients, and so tasty. My favorite were the tuna and shrimp! We also enjoyed guacamole to start and churros for the win for dessert. We will continue to be frequent flyers here!!! Please stay for many years to come

Taco Dia brings a unique dining experience to Newtown with a modern twist on traditional Mexican food. We were easily able get a table on a Saturday night and the service was excellent. We loved the modern decor inside and we also loved the music!! It was so hard for us to decide what to order because the menu has so many great food and beverage options. The Birria smash burger and crispy chicken sandwich tasted dry, but we really enjoyed the corn and mushroom quesadilla. We also loved the complimentary chips and salsa! It should be noted that there are many vegan options on their menu. There is definitely something for everyone. We will definitely be back to support this local establishment!

Decor inside is very nice with pops of bright colors. Nice size menu. We got an appetizer under the To Share part of the menu - Esquites Street Corn Dip. While it tasted Amazing the size was not shareable. They need to move from the mini cast iron to at least a small size one. All the tacos come on a small tortilla. But all the ingredients are fresh and really great flavors. I ordered three tacos to feel just about full. Then I ordered a fourth and that was the right amount for me! Great restaurant addition to Newtown.

Took my wife here for a Friday date night. Really nice vibe in this place (though it was loud) but cozy. The service was spot on and friendly. The street tacos are sold one to an order, but are well made and tasty. Would suggest ordering two for each adult. One side order of rice and beans could serve two adults without a problem. They have a solid cocktail menu and my wife enjoyed her mango margarita. I had The Armada which was ok. The nachos we order were a little off to me but the portion was generous. Overall, we enjoyed this place. I would try it again sometime.

Taco Dia has great potential. Excellent Mexican cuisine, decent cocktails, friendly personell and a great space, in- and outdoors. At the moment, there still seem to be some start-up issues with the service, eg table-per-server ratio seems too high with their staff being a bit overwhelmed and there was considerable variation in the two identical drinks I ordered, though I would hope they sort out these initial challenges quickly. The tacos I ordered tasted great, with the chorizo being my favorite, though the Birria was rather messy to eat with the hot sauce drizzled over it and I prefer a true, strained consommé to go along with it rather than starchy, thick gravy - but the flavors were certainly there. Highly recommend calling for a reservation as the wait time on a Friday eve was over 40min.

Finally, a fantastic taco spot in downtown Newtown! This is not your typical taco restaurant. We stopped here late night, on their fourth day open. Thus all the dark photos.... I'll definitely be back. Absolutely beautiful tacos, all types and varieties. I tried several. All delicious. Hands down. These are high quality and all about the taste. Wait staff, bartender and hostess were all completely on-point, friendly, and helpful. They were very receptive to feedback, actually asking for it. This place is absolutely worth a visit. Come support the new (best) taco spot in Newtown.
